Nice brewery and food

Very conveniently located next to the train and bus stations, at MK Hotel, Remscheider Brau was a very pleasant surprise. Remscheider beer is very good of course, but on top of that, the food was very good too.Only downside was that looks like they...snob you if you are eating solo or a foreigner. Even if you are a guest of the Hotel - preference and best seats go to groups of local customers. It happened to me, two times out of two dinners, not be given a normal table but just a stool at the bar counter or in the lounge area. There were plenty of normal tables available for the whole service: not very polite but unpleasant and not a good way to start dinner after a long day of work abroad.More

Good brewery

Went there couple of times, beer is good and reasonably priced, the food is fair, pleasant environment, service was friendly, they also offer bowling downstairs, would recommend if you’re in the neighborhood.

Good, fresh beers.

Stayed overnight in the hotel above, only three beers on tap, which I thought a bit sad. Enjoyed what I had though. Didn't eat, but the food around us looked good.

Nice place, good service

My German colleague brought us to this restaurant for a late dinner.Located within a hotel.I ordered the pork knuckle and local beer. Food was great and the beer very good.They have a micro brewery inside and offer different types of beer. Interesting!...Service staff were mostly young persons who speak very good English. Also they were making sure everytime all ok. Appreciate it!Definitely will return again next trip to try the other beer!!More

SCHNITZEL AND BEER

I have been here for a quick business dinner and I liked the schnitzel and the home made beer (they brew the beer here in the place). The staff is very nice (also young) and the atmosphere is very cool thanks to the lamps. I...recommend this place.More

Interesting rooms

Modern inn with all facilities of a hotel. Each room had a gym equipment. Ours had a boxing bag.Good breakfast.The restaurant bar was equally good.

Not bad at all.

I ordered the schnitzel and fired potatoes with a couple of local beers, not bad at all, I will be trying them again tonight to see what else is on the menu.

Cologne trip

My partner and I came to this excellent brauhaus on the last night of our trip to Cologne. We tried the 4 main beers that they had on tap - the pils, blonde, bock beer and a red beer called duuster. All were magnificent. What...was the simplest of meals - bratwurst and chips - was absolutely delicious. They were from the local butchers. The sauce that accompanied the meal was made with the duuster beer. Looks to be linked to the MK Hotels chain.More
